have nothing and are looked down on.
The kings owned everything and were above the law.
The lords were rich and would often look down on the peasants.
Knights fight for the people above them.

and no sewerage, so rubbish and human waste were thrown into the streets. Because of this, rats
were a problem, and fleas were often found in people's clothing and beds.

What was torture like in medieval times? Surprisingly there are over one hundred methods that were used in medieval times. Things like burning people alive and squashing people’s fingers are both examples are of torture methods. Back in medieval times, there was no regulation so if you were stealing you could have the same punishments as a murderer. People would get injured and some don’t come out alive. This is what medieval torture like in the middle ages.
