LO: To identify and understand the different story and short film elements that are used.
In this task, we had to make a DLO that shows what we learned about four different film and story techniques they were/are:
Pathetic Fallacy: When emotions are given to objects that don't have them already but is not personification where this object has human attributes like arms, legs, etc.
Subtext: Things are hidden in the film or have any meaning in the film background that could help answer questions or asked more.
Symbolism: when something has a symbol that means something eg, fire exit sign showing the fire exit.
Motifs: More meaning behind the film that isn't directly told to show but is a reoccurring theme in the film.
